Dr. Brennan was invited to speak at Texas A&M on March 25, 2024.


In the fall of 2023, Dr. Brennan was invited to speak at the University of Montana, Duluth (September), the University of Nebraska (October) and honored as the Graduate Student Invited speaker at Marquette University (November).


Dr. Brennan was invited to speak at the Chelsey Lecture at Carleton College. The title of the talk was Oddball Science. Why studies of evolutionary Phenomena are crucial. The talk was given on February 11, 2024.

Dr. Brennan was an invited speaker at the First Friday outreach event at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum. Voted the best science outreach event in Southern California, this event brings scientists in conversation about contemporary topics in science. 


Dr. Brennan was a Chelsey Lecture speaker at Carleton College, presenting 鈥渙ddball science: why studies of weird evolutionary phenomena are crucial鈥; she also gave a departmental seminar for Biology: 鈥淕enital morphology and the overlooked female鈥


Dr. Brennan was an invited speaker at the Gender and Science in Communication Colloquium in Bilbao, Spain, February 9, 2023. Her presentation 鈥淒e Vaginas y Clitorises, Historias de ciencia innovadora,鈥 discussed the importance of a diverse perspective in Science. Dr. Brennan gave the opening presentation in the Third Colloquium of Biological Sciences for BUAP in Mexico in celebration of the International day of women in science on February 11, 2023 . Her virtual presentation was 鈥淩e-examinando la biolog铆a genital de las hembras.鈥


Dr. Brennan was elected as a AAAS Fellow in January 2023, for her contributions to morphological research.


Was interviewed for the podcast Mujeres en Ciencia, an initiative from Colombian Biologists.


Gave departmental seminars on her research on sexual conflict and genital evolution at the OEB graduate program at UMass, and at George Mason University (March 25 and April 8, 2022).
