From 1972 to 2022, �Ӱ��̳ graduated more women who went on to earn a doctorate in life sciences than any other college, according to a report from the Survey of Earned Doctorates.

In addition to our incredible students, when you recruit at �Ӱ��̳ College you will work with a dedicated team of Employer Relations professionals who will help build your brand on campus, promote and highlight opportunities, and support campus visits with care and attention.

As members of the Five College Consortium, �Ӱ��̳ College has close relationships with our local college partners. When you recruit at �Ӱ��̳, your events can be exclusive to MHC students or shared with the students from Smith College and Amherst College, based on your recruitment needs.

Recruiting opportunities

The key to successful recruiting at �Ӱ��̳ is to establish and maintain a strong presence on campus. The Career Development Center (CDC) works closely with employers to promote recruiting events and assist in reaching student groups or other campus contacts.

Coffee Chats at �Ӱ��̳ are an opportunity for students to network with employers in a casual setting. This is a great forum to share more about your company's culture, talk about your experiences as a member of your company, and discuss the day-to-day duties of your open opportunities. Coffee Chats can vary in format, from one-on-one, to group round table discussions based on your preference.

Information sessions are a great way to connect directly with students in person or virtually! These typically run for 45-60 minutes and are scheduled Monday through Thursday evenings. Requests for information sessions can be submitted through Handshake or directly to our External Relations Team and we will review your request to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts with other events.

Visit �Ӱ��̳ College and spend the day in the Career Development Center for on-campus interviewing. The External Relations team will assist you in scheduling interviews, preparing a resume book for your review, and setting you up with a private interview space to make your recruitment experience comfortable and convenient.

Tabling in our dining commons is a great way to capture student’s attention as they travel between classes and meals. We will provide you with a 6-foot table in a high-traffic area for casual conversations.

Lynk funding

�Ӱ��̳ College prepares students for lifelong success by connecting each �Ӱ��̳ student's academic work with practical applications of the liberal arts and sciences. One way in which we achieve this objective is by offering a funded summer internship or research opportunity to every student through the Lynk Summer Experience Program.

Process

The Lynk Program is student-initiated and begins early in the school year. The program supports each student to identify, secure, and succeed in a high-quality internship opportunity. If the opportunity secured by a student is unpaid, the student requests summer funding through the program. Students are welcome to work with employers to design new internships, or to use funding in support of a pre-established internship that they applied for and were offered.

To qualify for Lynk, the internship must be both substantive and relevant and take place between mid-May and mid-August. The internship should be at least 240 work hours during the summer, and be open to Sophomore and Junior students.
