The following email was sent yesterday to the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ community by Acting President Sonya Stephens and Dean of Faculty Jon Western.

Dear Members of the ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Campus Community,

Many of you are aware that President Trump signed an Executive Order suspending the admission of refugees and temporarily barring nationals from seven countries. We are following closely the situation as it develops and have been in touch with our immigration lawyers. We are reviewing the Executive Order and its impact on members of our community.

The dedicated staff in the McCulloch Center for Global Initiatives have been in communication with our international students. We will continue to provide support for those students, and for any faculty and staff who may be affected by these policy changes.

As soon as we know more, we will hold informational sessions and want to assure you that we are committed to supporting our global community and preserving our intellectual mission.

If you believe you are affected by this Executive Order, we strongly encourage you to seek advice before traveling, and preferably to defer travel until there is greater clarity. Our immigration lawyers have issued the following . Students affected or concerned about their status should be in contact with the McCulloch Center. Faculty and staff should direct any questions to the dean of faculty.

We will continue to keep you updated on this matter, and ask that you let us know of any communications you receive in relation to this Executive Order.

Sincerely,

Sonya Stephens
Acting President
