Painting at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ and beyond

I came to ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ excited to learn and to challenge myself. The place I found this happening the most was in my studio art classes, particularly drawing and painting. Painting allowed me to look more critically at things around me.

The art department faculty provided a lot of encouragement and space to organize shows, try new ideas and to find the language around the work I was interested in making. During my time at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳, I also studied abroad at the Siena Art Institute and Danish Institute for Study Abroad, where I was able to travel and learn while looking at so much amazing art in person.

My undergraduate education helped shape post–ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ experiences. It led me to the Drawing Marathon at the New York Studio School, the Vermont Studio Center and the Visual Arts at Chautauqua Institution.

This year I’ve returned to Massachusetts to pursue an M.F.A. in painting at Boston University.
