Strong connections with alums

“The alum network has supported me (sometimes when I least expect it!), and it’s always the most warm and welcoming feeling.”

“I got my first internship opportunity by connecting with an alum working at Boston University’s School of Public Health. Recently, during Reunion, I had the chance to connect with a graduate from the class of 1967 who went to Columbia medical school. The conversation was empowering, and she gave me her email so we could chat further.” “Ӱ̳’s faculty are pioneering researchers in their field, and the department of neuroscience and behavior is no exception. Both in and out of the classroom, we are told to evaluate learning in a critical way and question what we can do with the opportunities we’ve gained at Ӱ̳.”

Internships: Undergraduate researcher at Boston University’s School of Public Health, camp counselor at Camp Anne of AHRC, undergraduate researcher in the Colodner Lab (MHC)

Leadership: Member, Peer Health Educators; neuroscience and behavior department student liaison; member, International Student Organizing Committee (ISOC)

Career aspirations: I’m most interested in studying stem cells, organoids and regenerative medicine to contribute to cancer or neurodegenerative research. I also hope to engage with the larger community wherever I am.
